I was looking for an alternative earring holder in my bedroom. I have an old spice rack that I use, but thought maybe a small decorative holder in the center would work to display my favorite earrings that I wear most. HOW DID IT HAPPEN? The metal hooks are already screwed in. Two screws for the rear hangers need to be screwed into the wall. You need to mount the bars to the rear frame yourself. ASSEMBLY Once you have the moon on the wall, take out the sticks and place your desired earrings on each stick. Then you can put the bars on the hooks. The bottom hooks can be used for additional earrings or necklaces. FEATURES It's not as good as I hoped. The stems are too big for the ear hooks, so the earrings don't sit well on them. They have to be clasped, which causes some problems with detaching and putting on the shank - sometimes they bump into other earrings. Also, longer earrings get in the way of others below, so you have to be careful where you put them on. BOTTOM LINE This is good storage for a few earrings, but if you have a lot of earrings like I do, this may not be practical for you. The lack of matching ear hooks is frustrating. MY RATING IS THREE STARS. It works but is annoying at times. This is a good place to display some earrings if you don't quite wrap them up. If you're looking for a place to store a lot of earrings, I don't think this is the place.
