We put a book in them - a 9" by 6" by 1 1/4" book ----- about 20 books in these packets. Made up some mailing labels and stuck them to the fronts and mailed them off. No fuss, no muss, worked fine - seemed durable enough to make it to their destinations. The seal works VERY WELL - as in, if you forget something - you'll have to slice it open and then tape it shut. You can't 'tug' these open without destroying them. Good purchase.
