A pair of Greenlite 3 in 1 night/emergency lights started to fail and I decided to replace them with these GE lights and so far I'm impressed. I installed one in the basement laundry room and the other in the basement toilet. They're a bit brighter than Greenlite, which is good because the old ones barely glowed. The one in the bathroom is particularly good, as most of it reflects well from the mirror above the sink. I would say these lights are brighter than your regular night light so I wouldn't want them in the bedroom. Before plugging the flashlight into an outlet, make sure Flashlight mode is on. If you unplug the flashlight and it turns off immediately, the flashlight mode is disabled and it will not turn on by itself in the event of a power outage. So press the button to turn on the flashlight and plug the light back into the socket and you're done.
