I haven't read anything about that, because a convex mirror is a convex mirror. But you can install it permanently or with the possibility of adjustment. This works great on my Jeep Wrangler as the mirrors leave a lot to be desired with what's happening in the lane next to me. They're more expensive than the ones I've bought before, but they're the best I've ever bought. The packaging is also excellent and protects the mirrors so you receive them scratch-free. Directions, while not very necessary, are also clear and concise.
