My mother has carried Stanley brooms her entire life. So one day (1994?) I told her that I wanted a broom like hers for Christmas. Well, I didn't know that they curl up when held on the floor with the brush. You gotta let it hang Right now I keep mine upside down. For various reasons I have now ordered a replacement brush. It was exactly what I expected. My old brush was tan with the name Stanley. The new brush comes in the colors shown and is called Fuller. Also, they appear to be exactly the same. I think this works better than a shop broom, but I might be biased. I just had to tap the old brush to get it out. There are two different Stanley/Fuller brushes with spare brushes. The handles are different. The brushes are different. Parts are not interchangeable. Sometimes a whole broom is offered. Sometimes it's just a pen or just a suggested brush. I'm attaching a photo of my old pencil and one of the old pencils with a new brush. In summary, this brush has a square pin that fits into a square hole on the handle. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. This item has received unfair criticism and complaints of mix-ups and has nothing to do with the quality or suitability of the items.
