Mesh and splines are fine, roller tool is missing

Bought this to replace a torn window screen after seeing how easy it was. This kit is great value for the screen material and splines you get. I just needed to make a small window screen so I have plenty left over for another project and then a little for future needs. The screen is of good quality and goes perfectly with the default black screen that all our other windows have. Spline from this kit for this project. That being said, it honestly feels better than the spline in our existing windows, so we're saving it in case we need it later. The downside is the roller tool. The rollers are made of plastic, which is sometimes desirable for use with a fiberglass screen where a metal roller can cut it. There were uneven plastic "burrs" on the convex side of the roller, but they can be easily filed off. I still found that the metal roller tool did a better job of folding the screen into the groove before slitting.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
