I bought these to replace a burnt out headlight on a Toyota Sienna. They are brighter (or lighter in color) than the existing bulbs I have. Consideration #01 - The Sienna has a rubber grommet that fits over where the bulb sits in the socket. How the kit works, it is inserted into the socket; secured with a wire clamp. But a large rubber seal no longer fits due to the aluminum fan housing. It's ok since the device works in "water" (see video). The mains connection (the plug of the old light bulb (male) and the socket (mother)) was previously protected from water by a rubber seal. But now it's just a plug and socket that are on display. I used a durable waterproof electric faucet as a precaution to protect the connection. (This will look sloppy... but it will work). But these are hidden costs. Consideration #02 – The light flickers! It's a fast flicker. I contacted support about this; They were interested in my car (Toyota Sienna). They advised me that it was an electrical thing and that I should buy a special resistor to add to the headlights. This is her answer. . . "Thanks for the info. (So far so good).But that will force you to remove the rubber pad protecting the electrical connection, so there is a workaround that can be fixed if you know how.And that's just a precautionary measure.Of course does the unit work underwater but you don't want a short circuit is the power connector.And the flickering is annoying and I'm sure it will only get worse over time.Otherwise the total cost to replace this bulb is $45 plus the cost of "resistors" (which I don't have). still bought) I'm with I'll pay some attention to that.
