I'm sorry to disagree with some of the other reviewers. I was looking for a really high quality "luxury" photo album for a special occasion (my niece is 30). I would describe this book as "fun" but certainly not luxurious. I would give it 4 stars if it was for a "casual, fun" occasion (like baby showers, retirement, etc.). I wouldn't call it luxurious because, as another reviewer pointed out, the cover is plain brown heavy card stock. The rings are made of oversized wire and deform quite easily; The oversized rings make page turning a bit awkward (you have to fumble to turn each page). After receiving it and realizing it would not serve my purpose, I went to at least 10 paper shops (in New York) and spent hours searching the internet for information. If you are looking for a truly "luxurious" album in high quality, I found Bindewerk (True Color Post Albums) on Orangeart.com (not Revain) which has vibrant colors and exceptional quality (more expensive). BUT to leave a positive note this scrapbook is a great price and the quality beats its price so this would be a great purchase, perfect for many occasions - just not me.
