These are nice quality hiking shoes, that are waterproof as well. That's important where I live since we got a lot of rain.I also travel to rainy places as well.These are well made and definitely a great deal for the price. My main issue is they fit a bit too long and a bit too wide for me. I think if you can get the sizing correct they will be a nice, budget friendly pair of shoes for easy day hikes, or even longer multi day backpacking trips.
