I have used these end mills to cut 1/8" and 1/4" thick 6061 aluminum alloy bar. I was able to easily get at least 5 hours of cutting at 200% cutting speed, which is what Inventables recommends for any drill. The only type of bug I've encountered is bit breakage when pushing/ejecting large chunks as they detach from the bar stock. This is to be expected from end mills this small in diameter and does not lower my rating. I would estimate a maximum useful cutting time of around 10 hours per bit when used with aluminum based on the wear observed. (They also worked well with plywood and ABS.) I am very happy with the price and performance of these bits! (Used with a 12" x 12" CNC router from Inventables, with a DeWalt 611 router running at 70% speed).
