I have had 24 of these installed in my house in the last 6 months with all new wiring and panelling. I have a one-story house of about 2,000 square feet, so the 2GHz WiFi coverage is excellent. The backlight is very good, bright, many colors and the application is good. I also control them via Alexa. My problems with the backlight are due to some of them randomly going into setup mode (fast blinking) or not working at all. I had to replace two of them and the third just stopped working for about a week and then started working again. There are no power outages or WiFi issues that could explain this behavior. It's totally random. It takes a few minutes to set them up again and then everything is fine, but this shouldn't be the norm. I've gotten used to it. The lights also don't always respond to Alexa. Alexa will sometimes turn off all but one of the lights when prompted. Again, this is random. In general, the light is good when it works, but random outages spoil the impression. I'm not sure why Buzz hasn't released a firmware update to fix this. bottom line. Would I maybe buy them again but I would try a different brand first to see if they are more stable.
