My husband had to wait until we had some cold days to actually feel the benefits of the gloves. They did warm up hos hands to a good comfortable feel. They fit his hands also comfortably and he is able to freely use his fingers without the gloves being bulky. The gloves are warm with or without the heat turned on but of course much more toasty with the heat settings. To turn on, there is a button on the back of the gloves which is very obvious and easy to use and the battery compartment is hidden very discretely. The gloves can can adjusted at the wrist to make sure they are a good fit. So far, the gloves have done everything I would expect them to do. The gloves are also made very well and should last for several winters.*******************update 12/1920My husband and I took the grandkids to a local amusement park "Christmas Town" annual event TONIGHT. It was brutally cold (actually it had snowed 2 days prior and remnants of snow still lingered). I took along these gloves for my husband but decided to wear them myself because I thought my hands would be the most exposed since I was the one pushing the stroller. My hands FROZE. I at first thought the red light must have been the lowest level heat because I really couldn't feel little to no heat at all. My only saving grace was that the gloves are well padded and very thick (the only reason for 2 stars). I ask my hubby how did they work so well when he wore them, he stated it wasn't as cold as it was today. I hate giving bad reviews and I try to find some good in all the products. What I found good about these gloves were they look very, very good, package well. They are thick / well padded and exceptionally made Because of the padding, the gloves will keep your hands fair warm oppose to regular gloves BUT if you are looking for heat or warmth, these are not it. At night the little button glows red and people kept asking me about the gloves. I was embarrassed to say "the red glow was just for show"
