I've seen reviews of Sony DVD+Rs and I'm not a technical expert. But in the last year I've recorded over 900 movies on about 500-600 discs and so far I've had maybe 3 or 4 bad discs out of the whole batch. As one would say in the field of statistics, this is a pretty decent sample size. And while I usually only shoot classic black and white film with Turner Classic Movies and Fox Movie Channel, the playback image quality is just as superb, no. whether I recorded in SP, LP or EP mode (6 hours). There may be other brands that are just as good, but so far I've found absolutely no reason to switch.
