Review on ๐Ÿ“ธ iTODOS Solar Panel Compatible with Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro2 Cameras, 11.8ft Power Cable and Adjustable Mount (Pack of 3, Silver) by Jason Vigen

Poor design, needs a different mounting system

TL; DR: The cable that connects to the camera interferes with the screw mount, so you can't use both. Bad design. I really wanted to like them so I could use the sun to power my Arlo cameras. The panels seemed to be of good quality and the cable was quite long so I was sure it would work. However, I found two things wrong or inconspicuous: 1. The mounting screws that come with the wooden brackets are really cheap. The heads are very small, so for me they are very fragile. I have a feeling the company relied on using plastic drywall anchors or whatever and then went with these cheap screws. But I climbed a tree at the edge of the roof for maximum sun exposure. I ended up using wood screws that were bigger, stronger, and more weather resistant. I just have a feeling the mounting hardware that came with it was cheap.2. It's a deal breaker for me that when you plug the cable into an Arlo camera, it sticks out far enough that the camera mount doesn't prevent it from being screwed into the camera. As if it didn't fit. So you'll probably need to buy a magnetic ball mount or some other mount with a longer screw. It's just bad design and they didn't think of the original camera design. Therefore, I do not recommend these solar panels. The idea is there, but the design is poor, forcing you to buy more hardware to make them work together.
