DO NOT BUY THIS BLENDER! There are much better blenders out there for a better price. I've had this blender for less than a year and a half and the plastic base on the jar has completely broken off. I can't fix this and my only option is to buy a replacement part. I called customer service and at first they weren't very friendly or apologetic about a bad product. The man on the phone told me the product was out of warranty and I needed to buy a replacement part. Cost with Shipping ---- $180.00! They refused to help with any costs or support their product in any way. So I bought one of the most expensive blenders on the market and it lasted a year and 5 months! Terrible product and company support. I will never buy anything from Smeg or recommend any of their products.
