Review on πŸ“Έ Fujifilm X-E4 Body - Sleek Silver: A Perfect Blend of Style and Performance! by Justin Luna

I wanted to love you

I had very high hopes for this camera, and in general it fulfilled them. But I have returned. Why? 1. The grip and thumb rest are really needed. That's an additional $150. The lens also really needs the lens hood and cap that comes with the lens if you buy them individually rather than as a kit. (Why Fuji, why!) That's another $20.20. With the Fuji grip, it's difficult to eject the SD card, which I do quite often after shooting to boot it into my computer, and no, I don't think it's acceptable to have to eject it every time .3. The rear joystick seemed very cheap. I have used other Fujis (I have an X-T2) and it seemed to me that it would break and it would be an expensive repair. IMPORTANT: The flip screen's ribbon cable hangs wide open. I didn't even notice until the YouTuber pointed it out in his review and showed some examples on other Fuji cameras (and cameras from other brands) of this cable being hidden or shielded. These cables are very delicate. A wrong crimp on this cable, getting caught or careless bending will permanently destroy the rear window completely. Compared to Sony's X-T1, X-T2, and quad body, the lack of shielding and routing on this cable is unacceptable, especially for something brand new and over $1,000. Hopefully Fuji takes note of this and fixes it because without this issue I probably wouldn't have noticed the other issues I've listed.
