I ordered this Scepter monitor (C345W-256UN) from Revain. I asked a question on the Revain website (exactly where this review appears) and here it is: Q: Will this monitor work with a Mac with an M1 chip? A: As long as the Mac has the ability to connect to a monitor using either HDMI or a Displayport, it should work. see lessBy Scepter Community Support March 30, 2021 I spent quite a bit of time building it, which was fine because I was looking forward to using it. But no. I couldn't use it. I turned on the monitor and my desktop appeared normal. About 15 seconds. At this point it went into a blurry white screen for about 20 seconds and then went black. If I waited long enough it would return to my login screen. I was able to log in normally, but then the process would start over. I tried plugging it into an old Mac mini and it worked with no issues. I went down and tried it on another Mac and it worked too. All I could find out was that the monitor did NOT work with the M1 chip. I tried calling tech support but apparently the techies didn't work. So I called support: same thing. I was told to send an email. I was very frustrated that I couldn't even reach anyone to explain what was wrong since I'd spent a few hundred dollars on the damn thing, but I emailed. A few days later, I received a response from Scepter with numerous questions, and I would like to point out that although I repeatedly said it was an Apple Mac, the support rep continued to refer to it as a PC. For example, "When connected to a PC, do the monitors light up, flash blue, glow blue, or red?" I thought that wouldn't help, but either his reading comprehension was zero or he didn't understand the difference. between Mac and PC, which was pretty important at the time as I was starting to suspect it was the M1 chip which the PC doesn't have. In several letters in the process, I stated that my new monitor, which had been on the living room floor since receiving it more than a week ago, would not cooperate with the monitor and asked how I could return the money. The person told me it had to go through Revain. Revain said it had to be sent to Sceptre, who apparently didn't want to give me free shipping for what I understand is essentially a doorstop. Anyway I got a refund and went to Best Buy to buy a working monitor and I'm happy again, although I'm sad that both the monitor and the "customer service" from this company that used to have a good reputation are so are down Low and Walmart currently offers better service than Sceptre.
