I thought the regular bulbs on my boat trailer weren't visible enough and they seemed to regularly burn through the bulbs even though I keep turning them on and off Turn off the trailer lights before launching or lifting the boat. When the last bulb burned out before the boat trip I broke down and bought these. I installed this set in less than an hour using existing wiring. Wow, they are MUCH BRIGHTER! Even running lights are visible in daylight, which is not the case with incandescent bulbs. Brake and turn signals are much brighter than running lights and should be clearly visible. I think they are a lot safer than regular incandescent bulbs and I expect LEDs to last a lot longer. For the price it was very profitable and cheaper than in any marina.
