Review on 🚗 Avital 4115L 1-Way Remote Start System with Single-Button Remote by Marcus Munoz

I've read a lot of bad reviews about people trying to install it themselves and complaining that it had to be installed by professionals. They take a lot of time and require special knowledge. I went to my local fry who recommended Avital and installed it for about $130. This took about 4 hours. I bought Avital on Revine. I needed another device in addition to Avital's Directed Electronics DB3 All-in-One Door Lock & Override Module, also sold at Revain. The system works great. Just press and release the button to start your car. The remote has a green light that flashes when you press it. Hold again to kill him. A long press on the button will not start the car but will instead flash your car's headlights to better locate it in the parking lot. You can also use the pit stop function, which allows you to remove the key from the ignition, get out and lock the car while the engine is running. This is very convenient when you need to leave the car for a short time, e.g. B. when someone else is in the car and you want the motor to run for the air conditioner, radio, etc. Timer that switches off the engine after a certain number of minutes and can be set by the installer. About twenty years ago I had a remote start system on another car and it had a 50 foot range. Avital is much better. I would say 2 or 3 times more than under realistic conditions. Remote controls measure approximately 1.9 x 1.1 inches. My truck only has one key with unlock/lock buttons to make it easier to identify on a keychain. With both Avital and DBS installed I can lock and unlock the truck with the remote start button when I started the car with Avital. My key will not lock/open when Avital is activated. If not activated, my key works as usual. Overall I am very happy with this system. It works great, it's simple and the remotes are small. All in all I paid about $220 and if all you need is a remote start I highly recommend this setup.
