Review on πŸŒ€ Minka-Aire F753L-KA Java 54-Inch LED Ceiling Fan with Kocoa Finish by Amanda Rodriguez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

We have purchased several fans for indoor and outdoor use

We have purchased 5 fans (3 indoor and 2 outdoor) and love them when they work separately! Installed by an electrician with no problems. First, they are very quiet, but not SILENT. Basically you only hear the air movement. No wobble when using the 6" lower bar that comes with the kit. Although we have 10ft ceilings, our installer recommended using a 6" down rod to reduce wobble and we agree. The light works great too and can be dimmed by holding down the button on the remote or wall switch. We wanted to control them with both a wall switch and a remote (included) so we bought matching Minka Aire wall switches. If you're looking to buy multiple fans for different rooms, it's important to note that ALL wall switches and remote controls will by default control ALL fans unless you change frequencies. There are a few important tricks: First, the main power (blue light) must be OFF on ALL wall switches in rooms other than the one you are programming. You'll need to remove the top cover of the wall switch to find the tiny frequency switches and select a number (e.g. #5). Toggle the 5th frequency switch, then press and hold the middle button on the front of the wall switch for 5 seconds until the fan indicator flashes. Now the wall switch is programmed to run only that fan. Then remove the REMOTE battery cover to reveal the tiny frequency switches, which are REALLY labeled 1-8. (Looks like 2 sets of switches numbered 1-4, which is misleading. Once you figure out that there are actually 1-8, it will solve a lot of problems.) Press the 5th frequency switch, then hold the middle one Press and hold the REMOTE button on the front panel for 5 seconds until the fan indicator flashes. Now both the wall switch and the remote control only control this fan. Finally, make sure the main power is off at the front of the wall switch (blue LED off) before proceeding to program other fans in other rooms. We decided to control two outdoor (wet) fans with just the remote control. The fans come with a remote control bracket that can be wall mounted. So we installed the patio remote control holder next to the patio light switch and just left the remotes on the factory frequency setting so they control both fans at the same time, which is what we wanted anyway. Once we figured it out everything works great and we are very happy with our purchase.
