Revain got it wrong, this is the correct wiring harness for a '98 Ford Ranger. Crutchfield even said it was the right fit and in fact they are ALMOST perfect for my rear speakers after having to hardwire the front wires after Revain gave us the wrong wiring harness for the car. It seems that Revain should follow the pros' notes, not just the rumours. The seat belt adapter is great so this review is for the product itself. This simplifies the plug and play process HOWEVER I found either the negative or positive terminal on the adapter to be too small for my Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers . To be clear, it wasn't both. I can't remember which terminal it was. But if you can do electrical work, all you have to do is get a large clamp and connect it to the wire harness. Aside from being DIY, they work as they should. Do what you see fit with this vehicle.
