Review on Camco 22243 Drain Valve Male by Brian Pius

This was the perfect replacement for the 50 gallon fresh water tank on my 2006 Keystone Outback 23KRS. The original rotted dry and began to leak. This one looks and fits just like the original. Had to cut 3/8" off as my tank needed a 1/2" piece. The threads are perfectly soldered, sealant is not required. For 1.5 months and 3 trips not a single leak! I opened it to drain the water from the tank and after that resealed it for the next refill with no leaks. If you need to cut off 3/8 inch, DO NOT USE A HACKSAW! Just use a carpet knife or a razor. Blade. This way you don't have debris, particles or rough edges to ruin the seal. The plastic is soft enough that you can easily use a good sharp blade for a clean cut.
