Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Your Build with the CORSAIR CARBIDE SPEC 06 Mid Tower Tempered: Exceptional Style and Functionality at its Finest! by David Dreher

Generally below average but I liked the look.

I've tried to be brief. but I have something to say about this case.1. The 360mm radiator has proved to be one of the hardest things I've ever done, even for me with 7 complete builds and a dozen rebuilds. I assembled Micro-ATX cases easier. In a nutshell. ONLY use a 360mm radiator if you are a total cable and space management pro. The case should really be 280mm max and after assembling it and observing the airflow I'm pretty sure I'd be better off with 280mm in terms of performance and space.2. Eject the disk tray before doing anything else. If you need a hard drive cage in your build, please buy another case. There is no place to discuss this. It's stupid that they even include it.3. Install the top two 120mm fans as far to the right as possible. Especially if you have a MB occupying more than 1 slot. Otherwise, cable routing and cable routing for fans, USB 2.0, and LED strips will become very cramped and messy. If you want a "clean" cable management case and intend to use RGB, plan on either using just one M.2 drive or using magnetically attached SSD drive bays on top of the PSU shroud. The rear-mounted SSD drive cages are in an ideal location for installing RGB lighting controls and fan controls, as well as an ideal location for cable management. If you don't like sloppy and disappointing.5. This case is very difficult to build cleanly. Of all my builds, this one was the most complex and contained the most junk. The 2 fans are garbage and noticeably MUCH louder. They carry the Corsair branding but absolutely don't match the Corsair quality of their LL or ML lines. The hard drive storage is complete junk. The SSD brackets will need to be replaced if you are using the RGB controllers as they are not attached to the front PSU shroud. The included front LED controller is cute if it's the only RGB you have in your case. But if you have a controller, you can just throw it away and sync the front RGB lighting with the rest of your build. (NOTE: It only works with Corsair products running the latest ICUE software). Bottom line: I'm happy with how my build turned out. But I could be just as happy with my build and save hours of frustration by managing space and cables with a different case. Also, I could go cheaper and have less waste with the case, or more expensive and not buy quality fans and light controls. I like the look of this case. It wasn't much different from the NZXT or Thermaltake cases I usually choose for indoors. I assumed a simple 30 minute build, maybe another 20 minutes to select the max size heatsink. I was wrong. I ended up getting the look I wanted, but it literally took me hours to get the cables organized properly and I used custom sleeved cables. I can't imagine the nightmare that would be with standard cables.
