Review on Pentax D FA F2.8ED SDM WR 15-30mm f/2.8: The Ultimate Pentax K Ultra-Wide Angle Zoom Lens by Richard Koh

This lens is very good. Some might cite obvious shortcomings (size, weight, etc.), but that's just the physics of a lens capable of shooting at such speed and at such a wide angle. Overall the lens is great, it has great contrast and is very sharp, I'm not sure but it might be a bit warmer than some of my Pentax film lenses but that's just a random observation. Aberrations are well controlled but not completely eliminated. Sharpness across the board is good, with excellent results only stopping a stop or two. For landscape photography, this lens will not disappoint at all. This lens begs to be placed right in front of something beautiful and stopped down far below.
