I hear a faint pulsating sound in wave mode. Still, it's not bad, and louder noises will drown it out anyway. I have a 48x14x19 fish tank and it moves water well. I have to be careful not to slow down the time of the wave too much or it will look like the waves are being pushed out of the reservoir. I alternated between high speed fast sync waves and constant flow, not sure which I like best. The 24vdc wall wort transformer is quite large but uses a barrel shaped connector to connect to the controller so alternative 24vdc sources can be used. Easy to use. It comes with a 1.5A power supply, but I haven't seen it draw more than 1A through the ammeter yet.
