Lightbulb on the left of the photo. He's almost white. It's a very, very light shade of lavender next to my usual white heated bulb. Not enough blue to dull the bright light without irritating our 15 year old turtles eyes. Most likely, after this lamp, we will return to the previous brand. ** Will be updated after about a month of use so people know how the lamp works. *** One week use 09/14/18: The lamp is not that bright. After a few days it became a bit more lavender. So good for turtle eyes, but not sure if the ultraviolet goes away with the brightness too? *** One month usage 10/11/18: It still works. There were no problems.
