After a disappointing fiasco with a cheaper unit here on Amazon I finally ordered this magnet for my 2013 VW Passat TDI SE. My dealer wanted an arm and leg to fix my air conditioner. Of course thanks to the old YouTube and nice people who share their experiences with us all. I was able to conclude that this was the reason for my air conditioner turning on and off. I'm glad I didn't listen to the theft. They wanted $1,700 for a new compressor and other unnecessary crap. $25 later on parts, $150 on tools, and here I am in sunny, humid Florida and my AC is working perfectly! I'll post an update in about a year or so. So far the difference between this part and the cheaper one on Amazon is like day and night. The cheaper one flows immediately. When I filled my system with coolant. I immediately noticed the quality of this device. And when I put it in the compressor, it clicked very well and securely. I recommend this part for those of you who don't mind getting your hands dirty and doing a little research to fix your own car.
