This fire pit table works beautifully for the price point it sells at. I didn’t think it would be this nice. It arrived with a couple of small chips in it but it does come with touch up paint. A lot of customers had damaged tables coming but that is definitely on the carrier not the company because it is packed well. Even so, I see a lot of people had their tables replaced free of charge at the company’s expense and not the shipping company’s expense. The box with the glass panels had two panels in it that were cracked and I contacted the seller and told them I would accept the table as is with the little chips in it but could they send me another wind guard. They responded the very next day and sent out a package with a new wind guard and the tracking info and I had the new one within a week. The table is metal with a wood grain finish paint. That’s why so many people complain about chips. I don’t care for the wood grain look anyway and will probably eventually spray paint it with a hammered finish paint. But overall it is very nice looking. If you don’t want to look at a hose and propane tank make sure you get the set that has the side table. As others have said, you do have to lift it off each time to turn the propane on unless you want to take the chance of leaving your propane tank on and just shutting it off at the table switch. Once the propane is on you just hold the ignition switch in until it ignites. If you have trouble starting it initially make sure your hoses are on all the way and do check the battery because we did have a dead battery that came with it. Once we changed the battery it started right up. Since we are still in the process of putting in the patio stones we are going to bury the hose so you won’t see it at all going from the table to the side table, otherwise you will need a rug or something for aesthetics to cover it as well as preventing it from becoming a trip hazard. It’s a perfect time of year to have a table like this and it is beautiful watching the flames and they reflect off the glass so it’s like seeing a double flame. It is actually mesmerizing. It doesn’t really produce any heat unless you put your hands close to it so don’t expect it to give off heat like a chiminea or a traditional fire pit.I give the table 5 stars as well as 5 stars to the seller for their excellent customer service. Can’t go wrong with this purchase if you have a certain price point you’re wanting to stay in.
