I've just installed these so can't confirm they can stay in the Jeep long term but I think it's worth it. I did a good job installing it and I believe even in off road conditions these lights will stand the test of time. I would suggest taking the time to think carefully about where you want to mount the headlights, as you'll be making markings in the car with a drill and don't want to repeat the effort (I did). This also allows you to ensure that you do not place any devices in a position that is longer than the length of the power cord. It can be extended (with a kit) or with someone you know who understands the basics of vehicle wiring (this person helped me) as I choose two points further than the length of the electrical wire. Conclusion: Plan the installation so that the installation works optimally for your vehicle. The app is fine, nothing special and no complaints.
