Review on 🏠 Wireless Home Monitor - Philips M100/37 by Anthony Shields

I've installed 4 of these now and the lack of consistency is frustrating. Sometimes they set up on the first try, sometimes they take an hour or more to connect. There is very little troubleshooting information available. When I called support when I couldn't get any of them to go through a continuous amber light, they said nobody had ever had any trouble setting it up, but in the end agreed it must be bad and I did should return. Once the camera is finally set up, the live view is very good over both WiFi and 4G, and the audio is loud and clear. But records are sorely lacking. First, every time motion/sound is detected I get both .jpg and .mv4. I don't really want JPGs, but there's no option to turn them off. The .mv4 then gives me over 10 seconds before the action that starts recording (obviously buffered and included in the recording) but then only gives me 4-5 seconds of action. shouldn't it be the other way around? 3 or 4 second buffer before action, then 15-20 second trigger activity? Or can it be a software setting? The Philips website will not help. When I tried to create an account to get help on their forums, an error occurred and I had to start over. It then accepted my input and said an email was sent with a link to verify the account. I didn't receive the email later and it's not in my junk mail. I would give 5 stars for good live view but deduct 1 for inconsistent setup issues and 2 for lousy recording.
