This is a high quality spool of vinyl covered steel cable. I got it because I am a licensed HAM radio operator and I will use it as a random length end-fed antenna. Steel cable is much better than copper for long radio antennas because it is much stronger and less prone to breaking or stretching.The bonus "gift" items are crimp connectors for making loops in the cable. I have a squirrel-proof bird feeder that works well but rain water travels down the supporting cable and spoils the feed. I disassembled the top loop and slid a rubber grommet down the supporting cable to form a waterproof seal. I then used one of the crimp connectors from this kit to re-secure the loop. It better than good as new and is now waterproof.The reason I removed a star from an otherwise five star review is the packaging. The entire package is shrink wrapped with a heavy plastic wrap. It took me a good ten to fifteen minutes to cut the wrap off without cutting my fingers. Once I removed the wrap, I noticed the little bag that contains the crimp connectors was integrated with and stuck to the shrink wrap -- no separate bag. I had to provide my own bag. This is a detail that seems trivial but can be very frustrating in front of a pressing project.Other than what I mentioned above, this is a high quality spool of steel cable with good crimp connectors. If you can get by the frustrating packaging, this is a quality product at a reasonable price.
