I just started keeping my Betta in this aquarium. I have since upgraded my bettas to 2.5 gallon tanks. The kit includes an aquarium filter, filter cartridge, electrical adapter, LED lights, and no plastic plants (although Revain's description says plants are included). As you can see in the old reviews and photos uploaded, the old model had plants below and a storage box, but the new model that Revain sells doesn't. Also, it doesn't have air conditioning for water, gravel, or groceries. You can adjust the LED faucet up or down to light up the tank the way you want it. However, do not adjust the height of the faucet too often or you will wear down the hinges to keep it in place and the lightweight faucet will automatically slide down over time. The filter keeps the water clean so you don't have to change the water as often as possible, as experts recommend changing the water at least once a week for a 1 gallon betta aquarium. With two suction cups on the back, it is easy to attach anywhere on the tank. For aesthetic reasons, I would recommend placing it on the back of the tank along with the faucet. The top transparent tank cover reduces water evaporation and has a large opening for easy feeding and use. This tank is big enough to add a small heater along with a filter if you want. The filter takes up quite a bit of space in the tank, so adding a heater will make your tank a little cramped, but it's good for your betta as the normal room temperature is around 22 degrees Celsius, which is a bit cold for tropical fish like bettas. The filter creates quite a strong current, which bettas don't like because they prefer still water, but you can reduce the current by raising the filter a little above the water level or by adding more plants and decorations to the aquarium. Overall this was a great starter tank for small fish and bettas and for $20 you won't find better value. However, you must consider the cost of replacing filter cartridges. Revain also sells Tetra filter cartridges, which cost around $3 each. You will need to replace the cartridge for this tank at least once a month, depending on how often you change the water that month. A water change often extends the life of the filter cartridge. Please note that these are additional costs. Hope that helps.
