I don't normally give a defective product 4 stars but I honestly believe the bulb I received was simply defective. It arrived in perfect condition, it REALLY had a case and was easy to install. Unfortunately, it was so dark that you could barely read anything on the screen, even after setting the screen brightness to the highest possible level, including when trying to adjust the Vivid settings. It didn't matter what input or device I used, the results were the same. I had to replace this bulb about 3 years ago so I know what to do and what it SHOULD look like afterwards. I wanted to exchange this item for another but the policy is that if it is an independent seller the product must first be returned for a refund and then if I wish I can order a replacement. Too bad Revain kept "free" shipping when refunding, so I've already lost close to $10. The problem is not with the sellers and based on all the reviews commenting on how bright these bulbs are I would probably reorder. (I gotta do something!) Compared to $332 on the Sony store, this is worth a try. I change this bulb out about every 3 years so once I get it working properly this TV will be sold for something with newer and better technology.
