Review on Parmida Adjustable LED Replacement - ETL Listed by Will Powers

I have been using these LED lamps (12 pieces) for about 18 months now. 8 of them are installed in rarely used places and 4 in the kitchen, where they are used about 2-3 hours a day. All 4 lights in the kitchen started going bad after a year (around September 2019) and then 1 just went out and stopped working and the other 3 gave a dimmer light than when new (I don't use a dimmer). I contacted customer service in October but as these bulbs were out of stock I was only halfway through replacing them. Dec 2019 Today (March 2nd 2020) 2 kitchen light bulbs broke and now only 2 work for me. Needless to say the light is not strong enough, only 2 bulbs work. I have found that these lamps get very hot in their housings, which in my professional opinion greatly contributes to their short lifespan. Yes, it has a 5-year warranty, but even if you replace it every few months, the warranty will eventually expire, and then what? Also, since they are mounted on a high ceiling, I don't want to be constantly walking up the stairs to swap them out. Energy Saving WRT, I believe these bulbs don't really save much energy as most of the 'saved' energy is wasted. Heat from thermal fins built around the LED bulbs. LEDs require a low voltage to operate, but as they are compatible with 120V AC there is a large voltage difference that needs to be dissipated by a transformer to allow the low voltage to be applied to the LEDs. This voltage difference is converted into heat, which is dissipated via the thermal fins. This is an extremely wasteful product as it continues to use power even when the lamp itself goes out (and others are still lit) as the transformer inside continues to draw current and give off heat. I must say that Parmida's customer service has been excellent and very responsive, however I have already given them my opinion and will not be asking for another replacement. I will look for the best product.
