It's not bright at all but for what I've been using it for I wasn't expecting it to be that bright. The bad thing is that sometimes it gets stuck and stops spinning. If I tap it lightly, it starts spinning again. I had to take it apart and sand down all the imperfections of all the plastic wheels inside to keep them from getting stuck. It's poorly made but I ruled it out based on the price I paid.
