Review on Premium Ergonomic Office Chair with Lumbar Support, High Back Desk Chair - Tribesigns Big Tall Chair with Breathable Mesh Seat, 3D Armrest & Blade Wheels by Bridgett Walls

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Covers most bases for 1/4 the cost, with some minor caveats.

Overall I'm happy with this chair rather than waiting forever (weeks by most sources I've searched) for a Herman Miller Aeron or any other chair. Not to mention the fact that this chair costs 20-25% the cost of most high-end ergonomic chairs. The wheels are smooth, the rubber does not leave marks (excellent), they slide easily. In most cases, adequate support and posture alignment is enough to get the job done, especially if your job or school involves hours of sitting at a desk. Those who do know that the wrong hair will harm the world soon enough. There are several indicators of where all these savings have gone in terms of quality and functionality, but most will likely find them acceptable or good enough in the short or long term. For the record, I'm a pretty tall guy, but at 6ft 3" and 210 pounds, I'm not exactly a tall linebacker. Here's the list: 1. The head and neck support is fine if it's fully reclined (ie fully reclined). but not fore/aft adjustable for typical seated headrest, height is just here. I added an elastic neck pad strap from an old DX Racer chair to tweak it a bit. Very adjustable or forgiving in stiffness Plastic part that goes from pointless to a noticeable stiffness in the lower back (too low to really qualify as lumbar for me, more tailbone support I don't need). I will most likely end up uninstalling it entirely. 3.) Biggest con for me: The tilt tension adjustment is too limp to support me when tightened to the max (for fear I might actually break it if tightened further). can sway a little or lean back without striving for everything at once, I return to a flat lying dream. This is a big problem that will eventually make me buy another main chair. Again, this is quite a big guy, but I've sat on others who have had no problem finding a comfortable place to lean back, but still have enough rearward thrust to remain stable in the perfect position . With this chair, I have to lock it into an almost (but not quite) perfect lying position and just live with it. It has to be locked at all times or I keep drowning all the way back. Again, there aren't too many adjustments, basically four if you turn on the upright position: recline slightly, recline halfway and sleep. Some/all of these issues are clearly related to my height and build, but I don't think they should be. I don't think I'm far from an average man, he should be able to handle me. Summary: If any of this bothers you I can wait, saving up for a better/sturdier chair. If not, do it. Update: One star deducted. After using this chair for a few months, I took the plunge and spent four times as much on a Herman Miller with an alternate headrest and better wheels, ordered separately. This inexpensive chair really let me down in the short term, HM completely outshines it in every respect, my tiredness and back pain are gone. A prime example of you getting what you pay for. I gifted this chair to my mom who weighs less than half my weight, spends about 1/50th of the time I spend in it and keeps it upright all the time. She's happy, so I'm glad it's not totally wasted, but that chair at the end of a long day isn't very beneficial for those over 120 pounds. Call yourself truly ergonomic.
