This was ordered as a replacement part for Thetford RV Waste Collector. It forms the connection between the RV holding tank and the hose. This is a duplicate of the original. If you're replacing it, you probably know that when you tighten a clamp, there's a fine line between "tight enough" to hold it on the hose and "too tight" resulting in damage to the fitting. A turn of the collar! The 2" PVC pipe coupling (cut to length) slides easily into the fitting and provides enough grip to allow the hose to be tightened onto the fitting without damaging it.
