Wires from lights do not need to be stripped. Insert light wires until you feel resistance, then wiggle and push until the wire moves about 1/2 inch further into the connector, then press the locking lever against the connector body. This will pierce the wire insulation and make the connection. ( I used pliers to compress the locking lever against the connector body.) Repeat with the other light wire. Rotate the connector until the opening for insertion of the power wire is on top. place the connector over the poser wire, assuring that the power wire is aligned with both piercing blades in the connector body, then close the connector body until the latch clicks. (I used channel lock pliers to close the connectors since I used heavy gauge wire.)These connectors are a great improvement over the old two-part connectors supplied by many light manufacturers.
