The gears looked good but the drive gears were fine so I replaced the entire drives. I used genuine Dorman drives, not cheap ones. money well spent. I've seen reviews of these replacement gears that also had cracks. I have a c5 corvette and they need to be reached and replaced. Dormans are upgraded with a solid gear/shaft. I bought both gears and drives and figured I'd try the cheap way out, but my gears were fine and my passenger side was bad, so I figured out why I just do both. Now the air works great.
