Now that I'm home with two kids (4+6) and studying at home, I was looking for accessories to work with sponges Montessori style. That's great! As others have said they are compressed like cards so the packaging is compact which I like. They're also very easy to cut when dry and flat, which is great when you need to cut small pieces like I did. An added bonus is that my kids love to think of them as "cards". The color palette is also great for my purposes as I was able to purchase a rainbow of colors without having to purchase multiple packs. I can't comment on the rough cleaning of the dishes as I keep them for my kids and didn't use them to wash dishes. My daughter cleaned some of her bath toys which were beginning to get dirty and they did the job well and washed well when I cleaned them afterwards. These are pretty standard sponges so I can't imagine they wouldn't perform the same as other standard sponges. I will definitely buy them again.
