We look forward to the usefulness of this snowpack if and when it snows! We've gotten some good piles of white matter in the past in the winter, but who knows this year given the drought California is finding itself in. I usually just grab a cheap 4' x 6' tarp and roll up the windshield and hood before a thunderstorm. It worked for me, but the tarpaulin material is brittle and doesn't move very quickly when I'm up against a storm. I actually like it because of the magnets on the hood that keep the wipers out of the snow. The quilted material feels durable and will hopefully allow me to shovel snow when I feel like riding. the snow can get very heavy and it's not fun. I wish this lid was bigger and also covered the mirrors (I've seen another lid model with built-in mirror caps and that made sense) and the front door window areas. Sometimes it gets so snowy and cold here! I also need to see if the shutters you put in the car doors will keep the meltwater from seeping through the seal. I've learned not to fold the tarpaulin into the door because that creates a channel for water to drain into the cab. I hope it isn't! The photos in the ad on the order page are accurate and to scale, but here are my photos to show my (dirty) Subaru Outback car with the product installed. Fingers crossed, it works in snow!
