Review on Dorman HW13304 Disc Brake Hardware by Gregory Rasmussen

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Causes a squeak/creak when moving.

The brake kit fits perfectly with the new Acura Integra brake holder. Unfortunately, after 10 minutes of driving, it made a screeching noise, especially when cornering. After several hours of Googling, this was found to be the culprit after I checked the dust cover and applied full anti-squeak grease. I removed those kits, drove 20 minutes, there was no screeching. Maybe I installed them wrong, which I doubt, but I lubricated them properly. They don't look like OEM, especially in color and design details. Correction: I went to one of my major local auto parts stores and bought their brake kit. It was very similar to the AC Delco featured here on Revain. Comparing him side by side with this Dorman, I seem to have found the source of the screeching. On a brand new brake mount, the Cardone Dorman was 2mm shorter and made no contact with either side of the mount. I added an image. I will have to return them. Final Version: I finally tested another brake gear and the noise is almost gone. I do hear a faint ("almost silent squeak") from time to time, but it's not as noticeable as these Dormans. At the time of writing this review I have not tested any other kits with a 0.5mm gap.
