I got this to solarize a patch of bermuda grass and it seems to work very well. I'm postponing it until June and will leave it until September because as anyone who struggles with Bermuda grass knows nothing but a nuclear blast will destroy this junk. We've set record high temperatures here this summer, up to 107, and I can see that everything underneath the plastic has burned. Just hope this killed the roots that might walk a foot or more. The plastic has held up well to the sun, the heat and my dog walking on it now and then. It's not transparent like glass, but transparent enough that I can see through it, even the overlap. I'm hoping to plant some wildflowers in this area in the fall so fingers crossed.
