2000 Yukon XL 5.3 on Spark Plugs

Pulled some double platinum plugs to use. Well I was immediately confused when I checked the 0.035 gaps on all the connectors. According to my experience. Pre-gap spark plugs should be .040. I installed them anyway. be wrong than the actual quality so far. I pull them out and test them down to 0.040 to see if they hold up and control gas mileage.
