I bought two of these cases, one for me and one for my fiancee and they have both worked great for 6 months of daily use. No signs of premature wear or failure. I've dropped the phone on hard floors a few times and the case provided adequate protection. The only feature this case lacks is the lack of a built-in pocket to carry the pen. I fixed this by sewing a small pouch of vinyl padding on the back just below the camera lens mount. It can carry three pens and possibly an OTG adapter. UPDATE JUNE 2020: I have owned this case for 2 years and use it daily with my Galaxy J7 Prime. Judging by the photos, it's on its last legs. The vinyl is peeling away from the base fabric, particularly on the magnetic flap and along the hinge. So I will replace it. With the same. You may be wondering why I take the same item if it's falling apart in less than 3 years and here's why: 1. At $7.00 it's a reasonable price. It's a good deal, $3.50 a year, to protect my $250 phone from bump damage if I drop it. It features a fully closable lid with magnetic strap closure to protect the screen from damage from impact. Most phone cases don't have a resealable cover, and if you drop your phone or drop something on it, this case will protect the screen at least a little.3. Inside there are a few pockets for plastic cards or photos. I wish it had a pen pocket but you can't have everything. I hope this phone lasts at least two more years - the battery still holds a lot of charge and I don't see an excessive reason. to replace it so another $7.00 case will adorn it like new. I'm thinking of reusing the interior that holds the phone itself and sewing it into a new outer case that I'll make myself from leather left over from another project. Unless you're put off by the fact that this case is made of materials that doom it to have a fairly short lifespan, it works pretty well until the vinyl peels off. RECOMMENDED
