Renogy flexible solar panels to charge Goal Zero Yeti 1000

I bought two flexible 100W Renogy panels to charge Goal Zero Yeti 1000 solar generator, the effects of Hurricane Irma that left us several days without let electricity. Even though my neighbors had gas generators, filling them up with gas was a big problem. I tested with my Renogy panels and the Goal Zero generator I use to power my mini freezer. At the moment it looks like we can start the freezer by charging it during the day and running the generator at night. We hope to be able to produce ice for our coolers and also for neighbors without a generator. (Ice mining was another problem last year.) Of course, the biggest mystery is whether it even matters if we get hit with a direct hit! (I'll contact you if that happens if I can!) But I really like Renogy's flexible panels for my purpose. I like that they are lightweight and easy to move around and take out of the house. I made frames for them out of small PVC tubes so that they can be adjusted to the course of the sun. (By the way, if you're buying Renogy panels and the extension cords you need, buy 2 cords per panel. It probably goes without saying for solar professionals, but not so much for the rest. Luckily I read the Revain review and knew about it to do.) Before purchasing I emailed Renogy with a few questions and they were very kind and generous with their time, information and patience. (I think their website should be a little less slick and more informative - my only criticism of Renogy.) Renogy has a good reputation and I will say these panels feel well built and solid. Unfortunately, I had a small bug with Goal Zero (which is being replaced), so I had to limit my testing. I was able to get 140 watts out of both of my 100 watt panels. I understand you're never going to get 200 watts out of 200 watt panels, so I figured we were fine. If I find myself getting better with the Goal Zero replacement I'll update this review.
