Description of Renogy 50W 12V Highly Flexible Monocrystalline Solar Panel - Super Lightweight, Thin, Up to 248° Arc, for RVs, Boats, Roofs, Uneven Surfaces

[Extremely Flexible] This flexible panel is capable of meeting a wide range of applications where standard panels can be inconvenient to mount, such as on the curved roof of an airstream. [Ultra Lightweigh] Thanks to advanced polymer materials, this product weighs 70% less than conventional solar panels, making transportation and installation a breeze. [Super Thin Lamination] Hardly noticeable, the Renogy 50W Lightweight Panel laid flat is only a tenth of an inch tall! Approximately 95% thinner than its rigid counterpart, this panel is ideal for a stealthy solar setup. [Highly Durable] Rigorously tested, the 50W panel Was designed to withstand extreme wind of up to 2400 PA and snow loads of up to 5400 Pa. [Potential Uses] The Renogy 50 Watt Flexible Monocrystalline Panel can be primarily used on off-grid applications that include marine, rooftop, RV, boats and any curvy surfaces.

so good after two months in the hot sun

After installing two sets of panels from another brand which ultimately failed I decided to try them on the roof of my Road Trek van. So far so good after two months in the hot sun. Voltage and current are what I would expect to charge/charge a home AGM battery through a 20A controller. These panels appear to be better built than the ones they replace. Another plus is that they are almost the width of the old panels and I was able to use the rubber grommets from the mirror mounts to mount the…

Recommend . Controversial! 2.5 stars.

Quality seems to be holding up. My BASIC problems: One cable is 6 inches and the other is 17.6 inches. Why not both make 17.6"? I feel like this makes the MY Renogy experience cheaper. My frame's Renogy panels are the same length. Also, why is the box in the front and not the back? The frame panels are feedback Reliability True Consumer Review on YouTube has the same complaints Recommend disputed Still expensive If it was $120 or less than a specific recommendation Also I had to shell out…

Works well but needs grommets or holes in the corners

Plate works well. It arrived in the box with no instructions or information. Corners to secure it for both physical containment and simple theft deterrence. Renogy recommends using Sikaflex 252 as an adhesive for these panels - great if you want them to be permanent. allow you to attach the plate - but - this glue is hard to find - in the metropolitan area of almost a million people NOBODY wears it. I think I'll try 3M 4200 or 5200 instead.

good company: Solar & Wind Power

About four years ago I bought two flexible 100w Renogy solar panels by attaching them to the top of a bimini awning on a sailboat with velcro. They installed and worked as expected. The panels were subsequently withdrawn. Renogy made the process very easy and efficient and I received a full refund quickly. In anticipation of the new Renogy flexible panels, I bought two panels from another company. The first broke recently after two years of use. A few weeks ago I bought a new replacement panel…

Renogy flexible solar panels to charge Goal Zero Yeti 1000

I bought two flexible 100W Renogy panels to charge Goal Zero Yeti 1000 solar generator, the effects of Hurricane Irma that left us several days without let electricity. Even though my neighbors had gas generators, filling them up with gas was a big problem. I tested with my Renogy panels and the Goal Zero generator I use to power my mini freezer. At the moment it looks like we can start the freezer by charging it during the day and running the generator at night. We hope to be able to produce…
