My Ryzen 5 5600X came with an AMD Wraith Stealth cooler. I also have a mini-ATX case which limits the size of the CPU heatsink. The idle temperatures of the Wraith Stealth were typically 50°C. During 3D gaming, the temperature can reach 68-75°C. Under heavy loads, 85°C wasn't unexpected (although the CPU starts to throttle itself). With this cooler and the supplied thermal paste from the Noctua brand, we can speak of minor temperature changes in idle mode. When gaming in 3D I typically see 58-65°C (10° drop). At high load, it reaches its maximum at 75°C (also lowered by 10°). I also see significantly less throttling and the CPU is more stable under load. I also found the AMD Wraith Stealth cooler a bit noisy. The Noctua fan is quieter than the AMD fan at any speed. Of course, if you turn the sound up to 100%, you will hear it. In the BIOS I set the fan speed to 30% (where you hardly hear it) and let it go up to 100% for my taste once the processor starts overheating. When rendering video or gaming, I'd rather have a little more fan noise than CPU throttling. Installation was quite easy compared to other coolers. I had some problems, but mainly due to my inexperience. If you asked me to do it again I would have no problem. Individual situations are different. Maybe you don't have a 5600X. You may not be happy with a 10 degree drop at a given load. You must not start with the Wraith Stealth baseline. But this cooler works for me and I'm keeping it.
