. It holds the HDD/SSD by pressure from the threaded studs on the sides of the drive, not in the threaded holes with the drive's mounting screws. Instructions are limited; It doesn't mean you have to use a bracket from your optical drive to attach it (you will), and the optical drive bezel most likely won't fit (could cause airflow issues). Bottom line I'd say it's fine if the computer is primarily stationary, but would find a better solution if you carry it around.
