TLDR: This is *BIG* I have to admit that I was *really* skeptical about the YoLink family of products when I bought them. Sounds kind of flimsy and good, I didn't think it would work that well. Boy was I wrong! I bought a YoLink hub with leak sensors and this 3 piece kit to protect additional areas of my home. About a week after installation they were working when I reset my water heater's safety valve and shut off the water immediately so flooding was very limited. These devices are amazing so far and I'm so glad I bought them. I've also bought sensors for my refrigerators and a water shut off valve motor that will automatically shut off the water supply to my house if a leak is detected. I can see the status of my home from anywhere with a cellular signal! Installation: Nothing could be easier. Download the app from the App Store, click the Scan button and scan the QR code on the back of the device. It will be added to your YoLink Home and once it's powered on you'll get instant feedback on the device health, connection health and status (alert or normal). 10 seconds to install per device. You can name them, organize them by room, and use many other options. Function: I tested the leak sensors by licking my fingers and closing the contacts with a wet finger. Each of the devices I purchased worked on all of the device's sensors. There are two sensors on the bottom and one on top (cleverly housed in a small "cup") that will hold water if it's splashing all over the place. Application: The application is pretty decent. I get a dashboard that lets me see my whole house at a glance. There are a few confusing parts like Scenes and "Automation" that aren't immediately obvious. But they have some videos that help and their customer service has been pretty responsive. Range: I have one sensor in my basement freezer and one in my kitchen fridge. Although they are not very far from the hub, they have full signal strength despite low temperatures and in refrigerators. Battery life: Can't judge yet, but they are not interchangeable and are said to last 5 years. hope it's true But even if they last a few years, the disaster they prevent might be worth it. Installation locations: Under each bathroom sink, under a kitchen sink, under each toilet tank, next to a washer and dryer, behind my refrigerator (the icemaker leaked beforehand), next to my water heater, next to my water heater, next to the condensate pump air conditioner. Overall, I'm very happy with my YoLink system. It was worth the money, especially since it had already saved me from a major flood.
